A Taste of Mexico

Taste of MexicoI’m in two minds about Mexican food. Yes, it’s lovely, but my experience of it has been a bit limited: corn bread, beans, and chilli. I suspect that I’ve been eating Tex-Mex rather than the real thing; enchilladas are not authentic Mexican.

So I’d be interested in the Taste of Mexico event, a food festival featuring renowned Mexican chef Margarita Carrillo, owner of Don Emiliano’s in Los Cabos, voted as the best restaurant in Baja, California, and member of the Slow Food Movement. The event begins today and runs until Thursday September 17 at the Restaurant Uisceand the Stil Bar at the Hilton Dublin (ooh la la!), around Charlemont. As well as Mexican food, there’ll be a chance to try out Mexican beers, wines, and tequilla.
