Food prices falling, report NCA

The National Consumer Agency of Ireland have done another of their price comparison surveys, and report that the results show a drop in food prices over the last six months.

Some interesting findings from the survey:

  • Tesco has shown the largest price decrease and Superquinn the smallest
  • Dunnes and Tesco are almost identically priced for branded goods
  • Aldi and Lidl also have almost identical prices
  • 75% of customers are consistently shopping around for better value, and many people are spending less

Have you noticed these price drops? And are you shopping around?
