The Michelin Guide, as well as dishing out stars for the world’s fanciest high-end restaurants, also nominates places to receive a ‘Bib Gourmand’. The Bib Gourmand represents fine dining at what the Michelin Guide considers to be affordable prices.
The following Irish establishments are on the 2009 Bib Gourmand list:
- Customs House – Baltimore
- Cayenne – Belfast
- Cafe Hans – Cashel
- Sha Roe Bistro – Clonegall
- The Chart House – Dingle
- Bang Café – Dublin
- La Maison des Gourmets – Dublin
- The Winding Stair – Dublin
- Aldridge Lodge – Duncannon
- Good Things Café – Durrus
- Fontana – Holywood
- The Lime Tree – Kenmare
- Casino House – Kilbrittain
- Fishy Fishy Café – Kinsale
- Restaurant 23 – Warrenpoint
Your thoughts on the selection? I think The Winding Stair and La Maison De Gourmets are both great recommendations.
