My friend Ruth is organising Wafty B’s Tea Party: a lovely, once-off, pop-up, afternoon tea event in Dublin on Saturday April 16th.
I have every faith that this will be completely delightful – I can’t say enough good things about Ruth’s cooking. She’s a magician in the kitchen and personally saved me and other friends from death by Tesco Value Baked Beans on a student summer in Edinburgh many years ago. The tea party will have cucumber sandwiches, Mrs Beeton’s champagne jelly, vanilla pannacotta and many other delicacies on offer.
The tea party is taking place in a secret location in Dublin city centre (you’ll find out on booking), costs €20 per head and all profits will go to the Capuchin Day Centre who are feeding a mind-boggling 480 people a day at the moment.
Seatings are taking place at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 4pm on Saturday April 16th. You can book your place through Event Elephant.
