Our reader Ellen gets in touch with a very specific request. Hopefully some of you can help her out with good tips:
I’m heading out for lunch or afternoon tea on Bank Holiday Monday with a friend. We’re looking for a nice, reasonably priced hotel – or at least one that offers good value – where we can spend the afternoon; my friend much prefers to while away a few hours then in a restaurant, where you can’t really linger.
We’re based in Leopardstown but we’d be willing to head somewhere in south Dublin, the south city, or perhaps North Kildare (around Kill/ Naas). The Shelbourne has come up as an option – what are your thoughts on it? Any other recommendations?
