I live in the arse end of nowhere in Wicklow which suits me down to the ground because I hate humans and love cows, fields and sheep. One thing I do miss about living in Dublin is the luxury of being able to order a takeaway: a simple act that I once took for granted. Oh what a fool I was.
When I do get the opportunity to order in, I usually go for an Indian because Chinese takeaway is often very disappointing. Well, I found myself in Glasnevin during the week and ordered the Singapore Noodles fromthe New Century Thai and Chinese on Harts Corner. Although the dish is neither Thai nor Chinese; it was really amazing and had the perfect blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavours that is often missing from this delicious dish. At €8.80, it wasn’t the cheapest take away but it was one of the best Chinese/Thai take-outs I’ve had in the city.
I am now wondering if there are other little gems like this one dotted around the city. Who gets your vote for the best Chinese/Thai take-away?
